Most ladies want to look gorgeous in sexy slim-cut sleeveless dresses but they fear that they may not be good to look at because their arms are bulgy. As they age, most ladies loose the firmness of their upper arms and loose pockets of skin will form around the back of their upper arms. Dieting and weight loss may not help to improve this situation. Exercise will help build beautiful lean muscle mass giving their upper arms a leaner and better shape.
Arm toning exercises comprises of exercises for the biceps and triceps. The thought that workout and training of your biceps will give you big bulging biceps may keep most women out of this program. This is not true because women don’t have the necessary testosterone to grow bigger muscles. These exercises don’t bulk your arms. They just tone, shape, and strengthen your upper arms. Your bicep muscles will be used a lot with your daily activities especially in carrying things. Tricep exercise is the best arm toner that makes the tricep muscles or the back of your arms less saggy. These exercises help you have tighter, shapelier, and firmer upper arms.
To tone muscles, you need to lose fat. It is impossible to tone your arms without losing fat and more impossible to lose fat only on your arms. Therefore, it is necessary to start a weight loss program for your whole body. When your body has low body fat, your muscles will start to get toned and be firmer. When it comes to arm toning, weight loss is just as important as muscle gain.
Whatever fat you have on your arms will show how your muscle will build. For those with bigger arms with more fat to burn, it is more advisable to do heavy weights. Heavy weights speed up your metabolism and, in turn, will burn more fat. This will help you tone your arms faster.
Arm toning workouts are just weight lifting exercises with dumbbells or with the heavier barbells. Before the workout, warm up should be done with some cardio exercises, stretching, and doing some light weights. These workouts, together with a healthy diet, are excellent ways to loosen arm fat and tone the muscles and eventually will have a slimming effect.
Some of these exercises are the front side raises which involves raising the arms (with weights) sideways to shoulder level and then lowering it. This can be done several times as the workout instructor advises. Another form of exercise is the chest press which involves pushing your arms (with weights) up and down with your back flat on a bench or flat on the floor. You can also do these several times. The tricep kickback is also an exercise good for toning the back of your arm. This is done by standing while bending your knees a little and bending slightly forward at the hips. While holding the dumbbell in your right hand with your left hand on your knees, straighten your arms behind you and then bring it down afterwards. The bicep curls is another form which involves curling your arms (with weights) towards your shoulders and bring it down afterwards. You can also do this several times.
Doing arm toning exercises consistently will give you back your firm, toned and shaped upper arms. Your hard work will show off with a well-sculpted arm which you don’t have any problem in showing off. A great way to keep those arms toned is by looking into doing something from Beachbody!
